I'm not a vet, but my thinking is, if the barium series doesn't show
anything, it may be time for that exploratory. (Provided Nic Nac is
stable enough, of course.) It just seems like there is so much going
on, that it may be time for an experienced vet to get her hands in
there and physically see what's going on, as well as for pathology to
be sent out.
Again, I am not a vet, just my 2 cents on the matter.
