I am wondering if now might be a good time to
just try a transfusion.
Reasoning: It is done for bad anemia, anyway,
and if what is being encountered is a form of
heavy metal poisoning it appears that it is done
for that.
So, either way it might make for an improvement
in health -- whether that would be permanent or
temporary I don't know.
Also, if surgery is being considered for him it
sounds like he would need a transfusion that
took well enough for that to even be done at all,
if I read the descriptions right.
It seems a no-lose thing to try, but I'm not a
vet, of course.
I can't recall if an ultrasound has happened yet,
but if not then that also makes sense to me.
