At this point I think that we are all confused. There
have been so many vet changes, and ot took so long
for any of the history or symptoms and how the symptoms
have changed over time to be shared. Then to top
it off what has been mentioned doesn't mesh well for
any single given thing.

At this point the most important things seem to be:
1. Don't try to direct the vet; let the treating vet
direct the choices as the medical professional
2. Communicate fully
3. Write things down or bring a second person
along so that things like degree of murmur, what
bodily locations have already had ultrasounds, etc.
are better understood
4. Stick with one vet for a while. Vets have access
to references, but when an individual animal changes
vets often much of the continuity of thought and the
history are lost.
5. Write you questions down so that the vet can be
sure to answer them all.

Those seem to be the only shots for getting beyond
guess work.
