Hi Kelsey,

Dog food doesn't contain the Taurine ferrets require for health.

Totally Ferret puts out a chicken free kibble:

Totally Ferret Turkey-Venison-Lamb Meal Formula * Chicken-free
formula is ideal for poultry-sensitive ferrets * Vitamin and mineral
fortified to help improve overall ferret health * Omega-3 and Omega-6
fatty acids encourage a healthy skin and coat
Hypoallergenic ferret food is made with turkey, venison, and lamb.
Formulated with diet-sensitive ferrets in mind, this nutritionally
complete, balanced diet contains no chicken. Highly digestible diet is
made from 90% animal protein from sources like turkey, venison, and
lamb. Includes wholesome ingredients like barley, whole ground millet
and flaxseed, brown rice, potatoes, and more. Essential vitamins,
minerals, and amino acids to support ideal overall ferret health.
Formula also contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids to help encourage
healthy skin and coat.

{Moderator's Note:
As noted in the Rules this list is not meant to be a
Consumer Reports so if people want to send opinions
rather than factual data, please, send those sorts of
posts directly to Kelsey or to Tressie, not to the FHL.

A post like Tressie's above which sticks to factual data
and is on topic for health is acceptable, of course.

Just be careful about what is included in replies. The
FHL is not a list about opinions on foods.]
