Actually, part of that is unwarranted, and not really the
sort of thing that fits the FHL rules for tone or subject.

So, just some actual facts rather than opinion in
my reply:

Totally Ferret foods have been designed by Tom
Willard who has a doctorate in veterinary nutrition
so knows a great deal more about it than the rest
of us. (And that is the understatement of the year)

Dr. Willard also has a long history of helping people
who have special dietary needs. Recently, his family
needs are such that he doesn't have as much time but
I can recall a good number of FHL and FML members
he helped that way, including us, and including when
the need necessitated homemade foods so he and
Performance Foods were not going to make a dime
from his free consultation.

Steve and I have had ferrets in our family for about 27
years and have been using Totally Ferret for as long
as it has existed. We have only had one ferret ever
who had periodontal disease and that was after she
NO LONGER had been having kibble for something like
3 to 6 months because her medical condition made
it impossible for her to swallow solids.

We have a rate below 20% for any type of pancreatic
disease, including insulinoma and lymphoma and
carcinoma of the pancreas. So, the other 80%+ did
not have such problems.

So, draw your own conclusions when looking at
facts, but food opinions and certainly insults just plain
don't belong here, please.
