Subject: [ferrethealth] Strange hair loss

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a hair loss pattern like this. Our older girl Trinny, somewhere around 6 years old, with IBD and early insulinoma, has been slowly losing hair over the last few weeks. It starts at her shoulder blades and goes down the center of her back and somewhat on the left side. She also now has a bare spot behind her left ear. She looked very bedraggled last year when she went thru a coat change, but she never had bare spots like she does now, and a close look at the bare spots doesn't show any signs of a new coat coming in. She gets Prednisolone twice daily, 0.15 ml each time, 15 mg/ 5 ml strength. She's been on that for about 6 months. Could that cause hair loss?
