To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

The canned Evo dog food 95% meat, rabbit variety, does have taurine in it, although it's one of the last ingredients listed. We use this food a lot, mixing it half and half with Uncle Jim's Duk Soup Mix as the main ingredients in the soup we feed to our five. When we don't use the Evo rabbit, we use Gerber's Stage 2 Turkey, which is all meat, no other ingredients. Using one of these 50/50 with the Uncle Jim's gives them a balanced diet, and they have Totally Ferret kibble in their cage at all times as well.

As for the original question, I personally feel better using the Evo, without the vegetables in it, rather than the Instinct. I've compared the two labels in the past. I've also found, as you have, that the Evo canned rabbit is not always available, so when it is, I try to stock up on it for those periods when it seems to be out of production.
