To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Amy,
I myself have a biter. She is getting much better though. My little
girl likes to bite my feet when I am walking. She's not stalking me
or anything like that. When I do dishes she will come up and bite my
feet and then look at me. She does this until I pick her up and put
her on my shoulder. I'm don't mind her sitting on my shoulder, but
she needs to find a different way to let me know she wants up. So
anyway, what I do is when she bites me I grab her by the nap of her
neck and drag her backwards across the floor a few inches telling her
NO in a stern voice. When I let go of her she just looks at me like
what was that all about. She is biting me less and less and when she
does start to bite she realizes what she is doing and stops and just
licks me. If she is biting you and you can drag her across the floor
maybe just pick her up by the nap of her neck and tell her NO.
Picking them up like this does not hurt them. It is what their mother
would do.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Pam
