Not true in most cases. Ferret intolerance of milk occurs when they
have no milk available after weaning and so the enzymes needed to
digest the milk stop being produced but this does not happen to most
ferrets and usually only after some time.
All of my ferrets have had milk with no problem, this is whole but
pasteurised milk.
My two current ferrets have a raw egg and cream from the top of whole
milk beaten together between them every three days and they do not
remove their faces from the bowl till it has been licked clean.
