Subject: [ferrethealth] Natural light

I was wondering about the days natural light cycles. I know to try and keep artificial light out of the ferrets room as much as possible. But I thought during the day it was ok to have the natural sunlight. They do have some darker areas to sleep. Should I shut the shades in their room? So simple, if I should have been doing this all along! I thought just the artificial light was bad. And I knew they needed a dark area to retreat to.
