Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: I'm new/ Sick ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I'm sorry I hadnt been more clear. I have Mango on pedipred and
amoxcillin.

The three days that he was at his worst, Both my vet and I (depending
on the time of day) were both doing Sub-Q's on him. I was able to
force feed him mashed up food with chicken broth added, but hard
foods were not happening.

On Thursday night he was with my vet, and was eating good friday. The
multiple foods did not work, but he took to kitten food there. I
tried this at home, and tried to get him back onto Zupreem (that was
his favorite) but he did make progress after the pedipred.

And I HAVE BEEN FEEDING MY KID! I would never let a kid starve. Thats
not something I would do. If you got that impression, I appologize.

I have been up every 2 hours since he got sick and I plan to continue
to do that to monitor how he's doing through the night. He gets food
every two hours.

I will try the soup recipe, and He is also getting A/D.

So, what other suggestions do you have for me?

Thanks for your help!
Rachael
