I don't think so, but the signs of excess bacteria are really smelly poops, and very loose and/or seedy poops. I'm fighting that right now with Luna. She had 2 weeks of amoxicillin and flagyl, had a week of good poops after that, and is now back to really bad poops. She also had some blood mixed in her urine yesterday. I have a call into my vet right now.
