Hi Tressie,=A0 I have a male Gus, who had on/off again diarrhea, that took =
a while to find out the cause of.=A0 His vet suggested an ultrasound.=A0 He=
did that, and what showed up on ultrasound was:=A0 an enlarged spleen, a c=
ouple of 'spots' (cant remember what he called them), and very enflamed int=
estines.=A0 He said based on those 3 things, he was very inclined to believ=
e its lymphoma (which we did confirm on biopsy).=A0 I think you did mention=
Sampson has an enlarged spleen also along w/ abnormal stools... and since =
you mention he's not able for exploratory, I thought I might mention that a=
n ultrasound my be of some use for you.

That is one of the differential diagnoses... sigh.... he's not well
enough for exploratory surgery to confirm.
