Melissa,

What a terrible ordeal you've just been through and I am very sorry
for the loss of your little one.

I can see that it would be particularly frightening to think it could
be an infectious agent.

You say a necropsy was done but etiology still remains unknown?
Perhaps sending the slides to another pathology lab for a second
opion, one that is more specialized might give you some answers. For

I don't have experience with what you've described, however, I am
confident someone will. Although I would expect most people are
waiting to see the pathology results before commenting.
