Subject: [ferrethealth] Thank you FHL

Well....today my check went out to SOS in appreciation for the FHL=A0and th=
e FML
=A0
I often=A0wonder how many people here ever close their eyes=A0and really th=
ink about how fortunate we all are to have these above resources ..=A0and..=
. how=A0it would be not to have them.=A0I so often=A0do when I go to bed at=
night.=A0 Yet, we still don't say "thank you"=A0often enough. Myself on to=
p of the list.=A0
=A0
We fell in love with those little=A0clowns in 1996. How my first ferrets ev=
er=A0survived I'll never understand. We were so green!!
=A0
I will=A0never forget....=A0right away=A0our first adrenal surgery went sou=
r and a frantic call to Dr. Wardell (who's name I got through the FML but l=
ives on the other side of the country!)=A0probably saved his life. And it w=
as through the FML we always=A0found our next ferret knowledgeable vets .
=A0
=A0I learned fast from then on and some times still=A0the hard way=A0but it=
was all through
=A0the FML,- Randy Belair's first Symposium ( such informative lectures!) a=
nd later the FHL.
=A0
It=A0was such a thrill to meet for the first time "Big" &Helen , the famous=
Randy Belair , Bob Church, Dr.'s Williams and Purcell and all=A0=A0the oth=
er ferret &=A0shelter moms and Dads. This wouldn't have been possible witho=
ut the FML.
=A0
Every time I imagine not having had these resources I=A0feel the heat creep=
ing up my throat. It would have been so sad for many ferrets. Thanks to all=
of these we were able to save countless ferrets and give them a good life.=
. but sadly....as you all know, even with all the knowledge.. we haven't=A0=
yet=A0found a way to lessen the pain of loosing them.
=A0
To the FML we can all come and talk about our fun's or sorrows... whitout b=
eing called "mentally deranged" ferret people.
=A0
Bill, I hope that you are feeling a whole lot better by now and your vet wa=
s able to give you enough=A0Torb to keep you=A0comfortable throughout your =
ordeal=A0:~)=A0 We all did miss you- you know=A0!
=A0
Thank you for all you have and still are doing for us and these wonderful c=
reatures. We do appreciate you so much even if we don't say it often enough=
.=A0Really, I don't know how you do it every day.
=A0
Now=A0remember=A0though what they always=A0say; "Behind every good man stan=
ds an even greater.......hm......=A0=A0I mean a=A0great women!"
So, lets not forget the boss!=A0 "Thank you too=A0Helen for your constant s=
upport=A0you give=A0Bill!" We love you both! :~)

To the Ferret Health List =A0(I won't mention names here in fear of missing=
some one)=A0=A0moderators, the veterinarians (thank you for all your time =
that=A0you spend for us)=A0and all the people who contribute their knowledg=
e here=A0every day, you really are so=A0appreciated. Again, we don't=A0say =
it=A0 often enough=A0"thank you all=A0"
I=A0do know what it would be like not having you !

To all the shelter Moms and Dads: "Thank you for loving and caring for=A0th=
ese little clowns.
