Antibiotics will kill off ALL bacteria, including the 'good' bacteria that she needs in her digestive tract. That good bacteria needs to be replaced with periodic supplementation of acidophilus, or some other probiotic mix that includes acidophilus. What I do at least once a week is dissolve an acidophilus tablet, then mix it with our ferrets' soup. When one is on antibiotics, I give him or her more of the acidophilus.
The other thing you should try adding to her soup is slippery elm bark powder. It does wonders to soothe and relieve irritations and irregularites of the digestive tract. Just a little bit of the powder mixed with the soup often helps a lot. It's a regular part of the soup that I give to our ferrets daily. If you need a link to where I buy it online, I can give you the link privately. It's cheap, effective, and has no known side effects.
