To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi Stephanie,=A0 Sorry to hear of what Pheelia is going thru.=A0 I also hav=
e a ferret w/ Intestinal Lymphoma.=A0 Gus had on/off again diarrhea for awh=
ile, and then finally diagnosed w/ lymphoma thru biopsy.=A0 While trying to=
figure out what was the cause of the diarrhea, we tried everything and not=
hing was working.=A0 After he was diagnosed, he was put on a form of chemot=
herapy.=A0 Maybe a week or so after beginning the chemo, he no longer has h=
ad any diarrhea.=A0 Just prior to him beginning the chemo, the vet did an u=
ltrasound, and his intestines were grossly enlarged and inflammed.=A0 The v=
et believes/hopes that the chemo drug has helped to bring the swelling down=
in his intestines.=A0 Gus is due for another ultrasound next week to check=
that out, so we will know more then.=A0
=A0
My guess, and its only a guess, is that maybe the Pred isnt at a strong eno=
ugh dosage to help the inflammation in her intestines.=A0 Also, the Carn Ca=
re will cause her stools to be loose also.=A0 But it may be worth doing an =
ultrasound and/or talking to your vet about her intestines still being enla=
rged/inflammed.=A0 Best wishes for your little one.
Andrea
