It is too early to say for sure and the sample size is
too small to say for sure, but in two affected households
where the vets don't think the illness has other causes
Tamiflu appears to making a good difference, both in
the infection rate and in how badly the disease affects the
ferrets.
(Just the messenger in my own words, so any mistakes on
wording are my own...)
BTW, Tamiflu pretty much reduces viral replication. It is a
neuraminidase inhibitor. There are three drugs in that class
(generic names: oseltamivir which is Tamiflu, zanamivir, and
peramivir).
