This and a possible anal blockage was what concerned our vet. Thankfully
he was up on what to do as he also teaches vet tech students. Our
Charmant had a fast recovery and no problems since. I have to be honest
and say I miss her poofing every time you picked up up.

Also, it is possible for an infected anal gland not only to drain
backward but to fistula downward and drain through lower abdomen.
