From what I have read, essiac must be used in smaller doses first, then built up. Also, it should NOT be used if there is any chance that insulinoma is an issue. Essiac increases the effectiveness of insulin, which is NOT what you want for a ferret with insulinoma. Unless you are sure about your ferret not having insulinoma, then you should reconsider the essiac.

His breathing problems could be anything from pneumonia to heart problems to allergic reactions to a reaction to the essiac.

still having som health issues Re: my ferret
he is over the H bac.. his spleen got better
vet gave him another lupon shot and a steroid med.
and he swelled up gained 9 ozs!! in a matter of 2 weeks
i found an new vet... we have taken him off all meds
and put him on essiac and a adrenal function tincure herbal

He has difficulty breathing .. this was a symptom that he had had more
on than off during this long period of his health issues..

does anyone know if the swelling will go down again..
since he is off these meds????
he sometimes has to sleep verticle to breath...
