If your kid is having such a hard time breathing, I think it might be
one of three things:

Fluid in the chest, making lung movement difficult.

An undiagnosed mass that might be pushing on or in the lungs.

His red count has dropped and he just can't get enough oxygen.

I've had a cat with fluid in the chest and now is on Lasix every
other day. It works just fine and I just have to make sure the water
bowls are full. It makes them more thirsty.

As for the Essiac, I swear by the stuff. Imp had insulinoma for two
years and was given Essiac. IMO, I believe that it at least slowed
the progression of the cancer.

You may want to look into Graviola. I've heard a lot of good things
about it, but have never used it.

I had a ferret years ago that had his spleen removed. It was the
size of a bratwurst and he did fine for quite some time after
recovery.

I don't know the history of your kid. Give him a gentle squeeze from
me.
