Does it look anything like this....

If so, it may be a mast cell tumor. These are very common in ferrets.
They're generally benign but may cause an allergic reaction (itching,
watery eyes, runny nose, etc). It's not uncommon for these to bleed,
nor is it uncommon for them to clear without treatment.

I would suggest keeping an eye on it. If it doesn't clear or if it
worsens get it checked.
