Can pleural effusion be controlled effectively with Furosemide? Would the fluid need to be removed first to be able to control it? Or does it depend on what is causing the fluid (heart disease, lymphoma etc.)? When I had 2 ferrets with ascites (from cancer), the Furosemide didn't do anything for them, just wondering what it's like with fluid in the chest cavity.
