Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Advise please - ferret having seizures
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have managed to get some Prednisolone from my vet and given my fuzzy
his first dose. I spoke to my vet tonight and he has advised that the
reason that he doesn't measure the glucose is the ferret has to either
be having a seizure or be starved. As starving can induce a seizure he
prefers not to do this. However during examination this evening he feel
a suspicious lump around his liver/ pancreas area which was not there 3
weeks ago.

So fingers crossed that the Prednisolone brings some comfort to my
fuzzy.

Unfortunately all of the other vets in my area would sooner put a
ferret to sleep than try, which is why I keep using this one, some
times it's better the devil you know.

Thank you for the info that everyone has provided it helped alot.

Sharon
