I have had success in treating clostridium overblooms in my IBD girl with Enrofloxacin (Baytril). I know clostridium is not among the bugs it is supposed to be effective against, but I'm not going to argue with results. I wonder if the enrofloxacin improves the general gut health to the point where the gut can get the clostridium back under control on its own. I've also had some success with Antirobe (clindomyacin), which is supposed to be effective against clostridium perfringens, but so far the enrofloxacin has had the more lasting effect.

I think diet has helped as well--this girl does very well on turkey-venison-lamb kibble and a twice daily snack of Carnivore Care (about two tablespoons dry mix total).
