Subject: [ferrethealth] Revolution flea/hw control question
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi everyone...

I've read some of the thread on how much Revolution is enough/too much/too
little for ferrets, and I need to give mine their monthly dosage. But I'm
straddling the fence, so to speak, on the 'how much is enough' issue again.

When I first started using it several years ago, our vet had us giving 'x'
drops for the smaller fuzzies, and 'x' for the larger, and we did this for
some time. However, after a discussion over a year ago on that not being
enough to protect them from heartworms... we began using a full vial of
'cat' Revolution. Now we were using the 'cat' Revolution from the get-go,
but there's also been talk of using the kitten version, rather than the cat.

I'm STILL confused, and I certainly don't want to overdose my kidz, but I
also don't want to under-dose and leave them at risk either. I need to
apply the Revolution tomorrow, so if anyone could set me straight on this...
I'd be SO grateful.

Also, one of my oldest (over 6) has a skin rash on his side. His vet appt
is Wednesday afternoon, so should I wait until after that appointment to put
the Revolution on him?

Thanks.

Ella

[Are you trying to prevent ONLY fleas, or also
heartworm. If also heartworm then go with
the larger dose because on testing the smaller
one did not work. See past vet posts on this
