I am not sure if you know this, but sucralfate can be crushed and then mixed with a few drops of water and given by a syringe, the liquid helped me with quick doseing of my ferrets. I would make up a few doses for the day and it made giving my ferret his meds eaiser, I always shake the syringe since some settling can occur.

Best of Luck with your little guy.

[Sulfracate/Carafate is made with capillaries in it so
that just leaving it in some water for about 5 minutes
causes it to "blossom" and fall apart. When making
a suspension it is best to not crush it or cut it
because that will result in larger pieces. The reason
it is made that way is because people drink it as a
suspension so it has to break up like that on its
own before the people take it. This is NOT a usual
thing for meds to do so typically only people who
have had family members using the med know about
this.

Always check with the prescribing veterinarian or
pharmacist about which meds can be made ahead
safely.

There is also an inexpensive liquid suspension of
Carafate affordable through pharmacies.

Be sure that there is a space of a half hour or more
between taking Carafate/Sulfracate and taking other
medications or having food, both before and after.
