Hi Ella,

My vet weighs the ferret first then siphons off with a syringe an amount based on the weight of the ferret. He parts the hair so that it goes directly onto the skin. He has told me that it is absorbed almost immediately if put on skin and the residual evaporates within seconds. If he gives me some to take home, it is in a syringe, again specific to the individual ferret's weight.

He uses the kitten formula but then we don't treat for heartworm because it is rare in this region and mine do not go outside. The treatment has been primarily for ear mites in new surrenders coming in.

If there are any health issues he generally doesn't like to give Revolution until the condition has been treated.

Tressie
