Subject: [ferrethealth] Ointment for bloody irritated toes and feet
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My Sissy is in his last days. He is unable to get to the litter box in time and he actually pees in his sleep at this point. I have been giving him baths constantly. I just got called back to work this week so I am gone for about 10 hours a day so he lays in messed blankets for some time before I am able to get to him to clean him up now. The last couple of days his toes are all bloody I believe from urine burns. I have been putting neosporin on them day and night but now they hurt him so bad he is really not walking around a lot. He is 8 years old, has tumors all over his liver and the vet says just to make him comfortable. His belly is absolutely huge from the tumors and he is skin and bones from his arms up. BUT, he is happy, eating, and he is in no pain as far as we know. The vet told me about 2 months ago that it could be anytime. Two weeks ago she said he could hold on for quite a bit longer. His toes are so bloody we have even tried to put fingers from rubber gloves o
n his legs with neosporin in them because the neosporin doesnt seem to stay on vey long. I do not even know if the neosporin is really working too well. Is there something else I can put on his little toes that will not just MELT off and will soothe AND heal his little pads? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance for your help with my boy.
