You can usually drop it at the back of the throat and immediately follow with some ferretone. Ask your vet to demonstrate dosing if you can. I have one with heart issues that was having, basically, a heart attack with each dose. The pharmacy got me transdermal pred which has been really easy since you just rub it in the ears and it's absorbed by the body.

[Definitely, with ferrets this is something to
learn hands on with a vet or vet tech to prevent
a ferret accidently inhaling the medication.

There are some past vet post in the archives
which indicate that transdermal patches are
not always able to deliver a therapeutic dose
level to ferrets. Go to the complete and separate

this med and only have time for a tiny search
