We always crush the pill into a super fine powder with a pill crusher we
got at the local CVS. We then mix it into baby food or Bob Church's, with a
toothpick so as not to loose any of the med, and all of ours lap it right
down. We do the same with liquid meds.Oh, we use little sushi dipping dishes
that we got at World Market. They're the perfect size.

Best of luck.

[Moderator: always check with the pharmacist or
vet who is supplying the medication to see if any
given med can be given in this way since medications
vary. Some can not be given with food, some can
not be given with certain minerals such as calcium or
iron, some can not be given with oils, some can not be
exposed to water, some can not be exposed to heat, etc.
That said, we were always told that Pred is a forgiving
medication on that score and that it makes sense to
be sure to give food with it. Not all meds are like that,
though.]
