Ferrets can be prone to loose stools for a number of reasons. A day or so of loose stools is usually not something to worry about, but an extended period like yours are experiencing is a concern. They could be having a flare up of heliobactor, which are bacteria that are always present in the digestive system, but sometimes stresses or other things can cause a flare-up and excess amount.

You should ask the vet about trying 10 days of amoxicillin with both ferrets. You should see results within a few days, but you should follow thru with the 10 days in total. Usually a dose of about 0.4 ml twice daily will do the trick, but get specifics from your vet, as the dose is based on the ferret's weight.

The other thing is that they may also need a little help with replenishing the 'good' bacteria in their digestive tract. Various probiotics can help with this. We use something called Forti Flora, the feline variety. It's a powder. Other people I know have used Bene Bac effectively. I've also used just plain acidophilus, which is available at any drugstore or grocery store and is inexpensive. Dissolve just 1/4 or 1/3 of a tablet in some water daily and add to their soup for a couple of days to see if it helps.

By the way, what are the ingredients in the soup? It's possible that something in the soup is not agreeing with them. Other people have reported in the past that the Evo brand has caused some digestive problems, but we've never used that brand, so I can't comment personally.
