Hi everybody
If the ferret truely has the flu (either seasonal type A, avian,
or the swine flu) then you can use Tamiflu (oseltamivir) at
a dose of 5 mg/kg 2 times a day. An antibiotic for secondary
bacterial infections is a good thing too. For nasal congestion
you can use a drop of Affin nasal spray on the nose 2-3 times
a day for 3-4 days in a row. SQ fluids as needed for hydration,
soft food (such as baby food, Hill's a/d, etc) to increase the
appetite, and avoid Vick's vapor rub.
