I am lacking time.

Here are the applicable recalls for meat and poultry. Click on the
dates to find out which retail stores have them.

Notice that most -- NOT all -- are now found before they get out to
the public which is a big improvement over recent years. That
indicates that the USDA and FDA are beginning to rebuild and improve
after the too extreme administrative cut-backs during 2001 - 2007 or
so (when all heck broke loose because the cutbacks were making it
impossible to find a large number of very serious risks by then so
many made it to shelves in those years). Now the problems finally
are usually being caught before the public is exposed. That's a major
but quiet improvement that helps us all and our critters, too, so
which should make all smile, knowing all are getting safer again. I
don't know how much more improvement is needed to get back to the very
high level of safety which existed in 2000 (not perfect, obviously,
but still very good back then). Again, to know which retail stores

Diamond Pet Foods has a voluntary recall going on of
Premium Edge Finicky Adult Cat and Premium Edge Hairball cat foods due
to Thiamine deficiency.

Nutro has a voluntary recall going on after a factory worker's plastic
helmet fell into the line and was melted with some puppy food.
