Yes, in public messages and private everyone says warm compresses.
Also, NOT to press hard and NOT to press inward or at the wrong angle
or a rupture can happen.
A private post from Pivot's breeder says that her vet said that individuals
who don't wipe themselves well are more prone to build-up. Normally,
some of the anal sac oils would be lost in wiping the rear end on the
floor.
Luckily, she cleared up once again, but we realize this increases her
risks of infection and a need for later scent gland removal, so will use
the warm compresses in the future to try to avoid those.
