Ok but Virbac in the UK use implants manufactured in the UK.
Manufacturer for batch release is
Brecon pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Hay-on-Wye
HR3 5PG
UK.
So the supply chain will be different. Due to lower demand in the UK (for ferrets) the supply problem may not exist.

My home is ferret proof - my heart is not.
[Okay, I looked it up and Brecon is
an outsource pharmaceuticals
manufacturer so I guess it must
have a contract with Peptech
since Peptech owns the rights
to its new type of implant and
I think also came up with deslorelin.
Check me on those because if the
implant type is different and there
is generic licensing of deslorelin now
then the product may behave
differently from the Peptech one.
In that case it will probably be marked
with the generic name, deslorelin acetate.
If it is a licensing arrangement then it
will probably use the trademarked name
of Suprelorlin. I could not find a relevant
press release.

BTW, there is a different company, a chemical
one, by the same name in the U.S. and China.
