Hello

Could be a cold? I have 4 ferrets, 1 female (macy) has allergies, it would kick off from time to time, just as humans do. It can be real bad at time, though only lasts no longer than 30 mins or so. she's the only one that isn't marshalls. Having said that, she's still as joyfull as every. You stated that she goes right back to the cage, just makes me think she might have a little cold? have you or your husband, just recently got over a cold?

How about their litter box, what do you use? fine wood chips, or that corn cob litter or anything that has dust init could may cause it. We use those wee pads, you can pick up 150 for about $40 on ebay.

We have wood flooring, and no previous animals were in the home, so not sure your that the carpet/dogs is the cause.

let us know what the vet says. Hope he feels better xoxo

[Ferrets do NOT get colds. People don't have to
believe me. All can check vet texts that have used
veterinary pathologists. All can check that the
pharmaceutical companies do not use ferrets
for rhinovirus studies despite their being used
for other respiratory illnesses. These posts from
one of the world's best ferret pathologists are
great places to begin:

Reminder: If anyone wants to reply to the
ferret origin note first go to

and open the ferret rules and read number 9.
BTW, we currently have an MF who has allergies, so
it can happen with their ferrets, too.]
