More on influenza types and non-human
animals:

There might be another influenza type
besides the standard seasonal ones and
H1N1 which ferret people should know
about, especially in Denmark where a
novel one has broken among ferrets'
cousins, minks.

It has NOT spread to humans at this stage. and never
may do so, but some mink farms also raise ferrets for
fitch fur and at times fur ferrets have gotten into the
pet stream so that could be possible route to know
about. (It is how ECE is thought to have gotten into
pet ferrets originally, BTW, with a mink disease mutating
and infecting fur farm ferrets originally.)
