Subject: [ferrethealth] older ferret

Hi everyone I am new here!! My older ferret (maybe 4 years or so got him from a shelter ) worries me. 3 days ago he was a happy active ferret and now all he does is sleep and he does not want to leave his cage. If I take him out he stays up for a couple minutes and goes back to sleep. Barley eats. He just grew back the hair he lost at the last visit to the vet so I don't really want to take him. Can severe signs of age show up over night? What sould i do?
