For myself I would choose delorelin.
Surgical neutering seems to be the key factor in causing adrenal disease (AAE).
In the case of ferrets with AAE there is no long term cure with deslorelin if the glands have become cancerous, (catch it early people).
Deslorelin appears to be safe so far in terms of dosage (up to 10 times recommended dose has been tested in dogs).
Although no long term results are available yet for unneutered ferrets a trial is in progress (Dr Shoemaker) and some surgically neutered ferrets in Australia are into their 3rd year of treatment.

The following 3 relate to ferrets, dogs and wallabies and show that all of them returned to normal reproductive condition after cessation of deslorelin treatment (delays in return to normal dependant on doseage).

Another factor appears to be that the earlier the surgical neutering the more likely chance of AAE.
The fact that your ferret has already had 1 or 2 reproductive cycles may help prevent the disease from ever occuring.

Just my opinion
