I personally would still spay. This way there's no danger of pyometra or
ovarian or uterine cancer developing. I don't know how common uterine
cancer is in unspayed females or whether Deslorelin reduces the risk of
ovarian and uterine cancers, too. I'm also wondering about mammary cancers
and whether a spay reduces the occurrence like it does in other species and
whether Deslorelin has any effect on it. I haven't got time to search on
the Internet but just some things that came into my mind.

But for me a spay is the safer alternative. I have not had many problems
with adrenal disease, have not lost any ferrets to it. I have one adrenal
hob on Deslorelin and he is doing really well.
