Hi Jone
You asked a real good question. As for adrenal prevention the
once a year deslorelin implant (Suprelorin) is the better option.
When you spay her, her GnRH levels will increase, which will
increase her LH and FSH levels. LH is what stimulates the adrenal
glands to produce the hormones that cause adrenal gland disease.
Because the deslorelin implant prevents hormone production from
the ovaries, she should not be at increase risk for mammary or
uterine or ovarian cancer.
