Gingivitis ( and mouth ulcers) in ferrets may well be caused by
renal complications.

Before you try to treat the gingivitis YOU NEED TO KNOW if the
ferrets issues are more complex.

Please make sure your vet runs a blood panel to check for kidney /
liver function. The gingivitis may just be a symptom ( red flag)
that the ferrets issues are larger.

I speak from repeated experiences.
