Thank you for all of your advice. We definitely are going to put t-shirts in their bedding. They never get near anything small enough to ingest that could be harmful for them. We are very meticulous about leaving anything small on the ground where they roam - vacuuming often. We do wash their bedding usually twice a week. And actually it's the washing that tends to cause some of the fibers and fuzz to come more loose. And while we both sit and pick away the loose materials...there's always more that got loosened.

It is definitely a cough. We are used to the sneezing when it comes about. Most ferrets sneeze every so often. And once in a while one of them has a sneezing fit here or there. But this is most definitely a cough. And it was occuring every 5 minutes at first whether he was asleep or awake. Now that he's been getting small amounts of laxatone daily the coughing has gone down a ton.

But now I'm worried with what you are saying about the flu. He has a check up scheduled for next week. But maybe I should see if I can get him in sooner.

Thank you,
Jules
