To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

My vet said that as long as you fill out the paperwork and note that the implants (4.7 mg) are for a specific case and a specific animal or animals, then there is no problem. It was his first time getting the implants and, although it took about 6 weeks from start to finish of the process, it went without a hitch. There are some hints that Peptech may be able to give you to avoid getting the package hung up for too long in customs. Also, if your vet would like to contact my vet directly for a little more guidance, I'm sure he wouldn't mind, and I'd give you the email to his practice privately.

It will be a wonderful day for ferrets when these implants are finally approved to be sold directly in the U.S. without all of these hassels. Trinny was showing positive signs in the 2 months after her implant despite advanced adrenal disease. We wish she could have been with us longer to see the longer term effects for a case of advanced adrenal disease (possibly carcinoma).
