Subject: [ferrethealth] Lysodren for adrenal carcinoma?

My ferret Yoji had exploratory surgery 2 weeks ago and the vet found a good sized mass involving his right adrenal gland, kidney, and the vena cava. He felt that it was far too involved to attempt to remove at the time. Biopsy of the mass indicated an adrenal carcinoma.
My vet is recommending Lysodren to try and shrink the tumor. I have been looking up some past posts on Lysodren and it sounds like there have been some problems and concerns with its use. Can anyone fill me in on what other side effects I might expect if I go ahead with the Lysodren (I know that it may cause hypoglycemia)?
Right now Yoji is doing really well and I don't really want to make his last months harder on him...
