Many thanks for the responses, I havent looked on FHL archives, but will do so now
I live on an Island in the Canaries and there is no ferret vet, all medication is done by me after research, I do the best I can in a place where no vet has ever treated ferrets, and when I tried to find out if mine were adrenal, they have both had symptoms, I was informed that all blood work is only for cats or dogs, they have nothing to compare with, I will however ask again.
Tim has had a course of antibiotics, i dont have the name to hand at the moment however the antibiotic is used in treatment of cats and my vet and I worked out the dosage as best we can, it has helped but he is now on a second course as it hasnt cleared up. My worry and the reason I try to go for natural as much as possible is that I do not know if this treatment will have long term problems for him.Trying to find the European name for medication for ferrets and then trying to get it delivered to the canary islands -if in fact they will post it-is not the easiest of jobs!
All medication, food, litter etc for my ferrets is ordered from the UK or the USA or if I am really lucky from mainland Spain.
I will search the archives and see if there is anything there that can help
Many thanks
