Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Adrenal disease treatment
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My Milo has adrenal disease and the vet opted to treat with
melatonin/ferretonin implant. His fur is growing back and he seems fine, so
it appears this is a good treatment. Of course it doesn't 'cure' anything,
and it doesn't tell if the tumor is cancerous or not. But when surgery
isn't an option, the implant seems to do the trick.. at least in Milo's case
it does.

[Oral melatonin is the least effective treatment,
so a help but limited.
Melatonin implants are good but not as good as
deslorelin or Lupron.
Better yet, COMBINE and use the melatonin IMPLANT
along with Lupron DEPOT OR along with deslorelin
IMPLANT.

Melatonin regrows fur in two ways so it can do that
even without much affecting the adrenal disease in
some cases when the adrenal disease is too advanced
for it or one of the worse types simply because it has
a dermal action, also.
