Hi Susan,

I know this is a totally different species - but I once had a hamster that used to chew at his leg. He did so until he literally ate off the flesh and you could see the bone. The culprit was s sliver. All that time we had been putting wooden toys in there for him to play with and at some point one of those toys had a wooden splinter get so far into his leg. Only we couldn't see it because he was a puffball of a hamster.

Maybe you should try using a tiny scissors (if someone else can scruff her) and see if there is a small culprit in the area causing the itching for her.

Vets often recommend bitter sprays. But I think that if the animal is itching - it's for a reason. And it's better to help them than to spray on it.

Best of luck,
Jules
