Subject: [ferrethealth] Austin ulcer upate.

We gave him 10cc of sub q fluids last night. He doesn't seem much better this morning, but he did have more fight in him. We'll repeat the fluids tonight. I don't really want to poke around his mouth unless I have to since I'm sure it hurts. We've been feeding a mixture of flavorless pedialite with A/D and carnivore care. I can only manage to get about 10ccs down him about 3 times a day with work. I'm going to try getting in 4-5 today. We've been leaning towards stress related ulcers since he lost his cagemate less than 2 months ago. I'm wondering if the mouth ulcers are linked to the antibiotics since they popped up almost immediately following. We can't get any other ferret savvy vets until tomorrow. I've emailed the vet and I'll leave a voicemail today. I appreciate the ideas. Please keep them and your prayers coming.
